Ford redesigned its popular Thunderbird for the third generation that lasted only 1961 to 1963. This generation is a personal favorite of the Guys With Rides staff as the overall length of the car works well with the jet age styling, particularly with the convertible.  What makes this particular car special is in addition to having desirable Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, its equipped with the very rare “M” code engine option, which is a 390ci 340hp V8 with three, two-barrel carburetors.

This example presents well with its black exterior and excellent chestnut-colored interior.  The consignor describes this 70K mile car as a ”Semi Survivor,” that presents nicely, with a few dings in the paint, and a few chromed parts showing patina.
