French automobile producer Peugeot produced its last rear wheel drive car, the 505, from 1979, through 1990. At its launch, journalists praised the 505’s ride, handling, and ground clearance, especially on rough roads. The estate model featured here launched in 1982. The 505 wagons were quite different from their sedan brothers. Most notably, its longer wheelbase allowed the possibility of two forward facing rear seats that provided seating for up to eight.
