While researching for our next “Truckin Tuesday” feature, we came across this beautifully restored 1979 Ford F-250 Ranger Custom 3/4 Ton 2WD we’ve been eyeing for several months now. While we find the truck very cool, the reality is that it will likely take a very devoted Ford Truck enthusiast willing to spend the $35,000 the private seller firmly requests. Unfortunately, this is a prime case of where you can easily spend more to restore a collectible vehicle than its likely to return.
According to the private seller, this beautiful truck received a complete frame-off restoration and features a 460 cubic inch big block completely rebuilt with a C6 Automatic transmission. What’s not clear is how long ago he completed the restoration; you’ll have to confirm that with the seller. This truck also features dual exhaust and a Dana 60 Rear axle.
Based on the pictures provided, we agree with the seller’s words that, “this is a beautifully restored truck in showroom condition.” The only thing we can tell that is not stock is the updated modern stereo and as long as the seller can provide the original, that’s no harm, no foul in our book. Good luck with the sale!
