With March coming in like a lion here in the northeast, we’ve noticed over the past week that Corvette owners are starting to offer their classics for sale before the snow thaws. We found what appears to be a well-optioned 1969 Riverside Gold over Saddle Comfort Weave for sale by the private seller for the appropriate asking price of $21,500. You can find it on Craigslist near Millville, New Jersey. Given that these pictures were likely taken last summer, you’ll need to interview the owner to understand what he did with this car over the winter.

From the limited pictures, this example appears to be a nicely optioned survivor that the seller describes as “astonishing and garage kept for many years that’s very well maintained.” In addition to having the optional power steering and power brakes, we noticed the car has the original Frigidaire A/C system, so you’ll have to confirm with the seller whether it works as he doesn’t mention it in his ad. Based on the air cleaner label, we believe this car is equipped with the optional L46 350 horsepower 350 cubic inch small block, which is a nice upgrade from the standard 300 horsepower power unit. The TurboHydramtic 400 automatic may turn off some, but if you’ve ever driven with the spring-loaded clutch that came in the manual-equipped cars, you’ll agree on no harm, no foul.

The saddle-colored comfort weave standard interior appears to be in very presentable shape and features power windows which is another desirable option. The only aftermarket items appear to be the center console armrest pad, an aftermarket radio, and custom floor mats. You’ll have to confirm with the seller whether the original radio comes with the sale. You’ll also need to confirm the condition of the convertible top and rear window.

All-in-all, this Corvette appears to be worth the trip to South Jersey given the great color combination, desirable options, and driver quality condition. Be sure to do your homework and check the VIN numbers on the engine and transmission as the seller does not mention this is a numbers matching car. Based on the Hagerty Online Valuation Tool, we believe the seller has his car appropriately priced just slightly above the #4 Condition with the desirable options factored in. Good luck with the sale!
