The weekend of June 1-2, 2019 weather-wise was gorgeous in the NY/NJ/PA Tri-State Area, so that Saturday the Guys With Rides Team attended the 24th Red Mill British Car Day . Held at the historic Red Mill museum in Clinton, New Jersey (one of the most photographed spots in New Jersey), the long paths and barns set behind the grist mill along the western bank of the Raritan River make a relaxed setting for a car show.

We found the group of various British marque car owners to be a very friendly bunch willing to talk about their automobiles.  However, the standout for us was a well-dressed gentlemen named Ben who, with his Bentley tie, derby hat, and classic navy blue sport coat looked more ready for a wedding than a Saturday morning car show.

When we asked Ben why he was so nicely dressed, he simply stated, “my Bentley is a very fine lady who deserves nothing but the best.” Ben enthusiastically walked us through his award-winning 1952 Bentley complete with opened picnic tray tables holding jars of Grey Poupon and Moet champagne in its stunning burgundy leather interior.

We had a great time spending a few minutes having a few laughs with Ben while learning more about his stunning automobile.  Thanks again, Ben!
