If you dare to be different, we found this 1957 custom Jeep here on Craigslist near Beach Haven, New Jersey where the seller currently has it listed for $22,000.  Based on the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool, the private seller has his Jeep priced $2,000 lower than the the #2 “Excellent” Condition level for a stock vehicle.

The “FC” is an abbreviation for “Forward Control” which on this style of Willys-Jeep means the driver sits over the powertrain, and ahead of the front axle.  The unconventional forward control layout and “helicopter look” of the cab was too unusual for mainstream buyers during that era, but Willys-Jeep was successful in commercial and specialized applications.

The current owner replaced the original drivetrain with a small block Chevrolet V8 making a claimed 400 horsepower that is a connected to a TurboHydramatic 400 automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via a Dana 70 axle.  You’ll need to confirm with the seller whether the powertrain still includes a transfer case that sends power to the front axle.

This FC-170 makes a nice alternative to fishing on the beach for stripers “down the shore.”  Its a shame the current owner can’t transfer the perfect “JEEEEP” vanity plates to you as part of the sale.  Good luck with the purchase!
