We found this 1960 Ford Ranch Two Door Wagon here on Craigslist in Leesburg, Virginia where the owner is currently asking $25,000. The NADA Classic, Collectible, Exotic, and Muscle Car Appraisal Guide currently lists the “Low, “Average”, and “High” value of these cars at $12,500, $19,800, and $34,100, respectively so the seller has his wagon realistically priced from our perspective.
Originally a Canadian example imported into the U.S. in 2000, the private seller states his Ranch Wagon features all original paint save for the hood as well as the original dealer badge. He honestly points out in one picture a small amount of paint bubbling in the bottom of the right front fender that should be addressed soon. Also interesting is the application of clear coat over the original paint to protect the patina.
Featuring a new interior, a swapped 351 cubic inch Ford Windsor V8, and a “three on the tree” manually shifted transmission, the seller states that a few minor things need to be completed to make this a well sorted wagon.
We love the rake of the modern wheel and tire combination that nicely fill this wagon’s wheel wells. We’re sure the sound of the Flowmaster dual exhaust also makes this car’s presence known wherever it goes. From the pictures provided, this Ranch Wagon appears to be a great way for a growing family to enjoy the classic car hobby together. Good luck with the purchase!
