The Guys With Rides Team was on hand to watch this one-family-owned 1976 International Harvester Scout II cross the auction block at Barrett-Jackson’s Northeast 2019 event on Thursday, June 27th.  We loved how nicely optioned this example is in a pretty color and equipped with the highly desirable custom interior trim.  The author grew up bouncing around in the back seat of not one, but two (a 1974 and a 1977) Scout IIs similar to this one, so I enjoyed inspecting this truck in the parking garage area and then watching it cross the auction block later in the day.  The in-person inspection revealed a nicely preserved exterior that had to be from a dry state as the paint and of all its glorious International Harvester quality-control defects in place.  The Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool estimates the #3 “Good” condition price at $21,000 and rising, so when we watch the hammer fall at $19,000 for this Scout II, we considered it “well bought.”

Here’s the video we took of our three #fourbyfriday feature vehicles that we inspected in the Mohegan Sun parking garage prior to the start of Barrett-Jackson’s Northeast 2019 auction on Thursday, June 27, 2019:
