October 8th Update:  while preparing for our latest Trucking Tuesday featured we noticed this 1964 Ford F100 we originally featured on July 2nd is listed again by the same caretaker, only he reduced his price $2,100 to $22,900 firm.  This appears to be a beautifully restored truck with a number of nice upgrades, so we’ve updated the link below.  Good luck with the purchase!

We just found this 1964 Ford F100 Restomod  here on Craigslist in Moreriches, New York.  Restored four years ago, the private seller’s asking price is $25,000 which is about $5,000 above the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool Estimate of $20,400 for a #2 “Excellent” example.

As the pictures provided indicate, this truck received a frame-off restoration from what the seller describes as a “qualified shop in South Carolina in 2015 that required over a $42,000 investment.”  Rather than continue with the stock powertrain, the seller elected to install a 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.  He claims the only reason he is selling is due to losing his storage space.

This is a classic example of how often times is much easier and less expensive to buy an already restored collectible truck than to waste time and money redoing one on your own.  We love the color combination on this example and about the only thing we would consider changing is possibly adding a Vintage Air A/C unit to make this truck even more usable during the summer.  Good luck with the purchase!
