We’re featuring this 1995 Plymouth Voyager minivan on Wagon Wednesday as a tribute to Lee Iacocca, the father of the minivan, who passed away on July 2, 2019 at the age of 94. God’s speed, Lido!
We we found this 74K mile 1995 Plymouth Voyager here on Craigslist in Queens, New York where the private seller is asking $900 for it. The NADA Classic, Collectible, Exotic, and Muscle Car Appraisal Guide lists the low end of their value range at $1,675 so the seller appears to be looking for a quick sale. The seller reports that his Voyager “Runs perfect and is quiet and smooth.” While he also describes his minivan as “mint”, we noticed a mis-matched wheel cover and some easily-addressed surface rust on the rear driver’s side wheel arch.
This particular Plymouth minivan is a bit of a unicorn in that it features the rare all wheel drive powertrain. This was the last model year of Plymouth’s first generation minivan, and as such it only features a passenger-side sliding door. The author can personally attest that the all wheel drive system on these vehicles combined with the fantastic storage and passenger capacity made them fantastic weekend getaway cars. This is another great example of a 1980’s K-Car variant that will gain you admission at any Radwood festival. Good luck with the purchase!
