We discovered this 58K original 1967 Champagne over Parchment Pontiac GTO survivor here on Craigslist in Chicago, Illinois where the private seller is asking $32,500 firm for the car.  Based on the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool, the private seller has his GTO priced just over $10,00 less than the #4 “Fair” estimate of $42,900, so we tend to agree that his firm asking price is more than fair based on current market conditions.

The seller reports that he bought this GTO at a yard sale “some time ago” from the original owner, who was a disabled Vietnam war veteran who didn’t use the car much when he returned from Vietnam in 1970 until the current owner purchased it from him. The seller states this GTO collected some 50,000 miles over 52 years and is “an excellent, dry original car, with just about nothing molested on the car.”

We encourage you to read the full description the seller provides as we think this is an excellent alternative to the glut of over-restored Goats you come across at car shows.  Equipped with power steering, power brakes, and the His&Hers automatic shifter, this GTO makes an excellent cruiser on sunny days.  Spend a weekend or two cleaning this example and then enjoy the compliments you get for choosing to keep it original.  Good luck with the purchase!
