We were pleased to see the 1960 Studebaker Lark convertible post yesterday here on Craigslist in Royersford, Pennsylvania where the private seller is currently asking $12,000, which is $100 less than the current #3 “Good” level of $12,000 on the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool.

We love the white over red color combination and really like that this car because its equipped with the much more desirable 259 cubic inch V8.  Here’s the owner’s brief description:  “garage kept, power convertible top in great shape, runs beautifully and in really good shape overall. Also had brand new sound system with optional additional speaker hook ups recently run. As for the details about the car, I won’t be able to answer much but have loads of paperwork from the garage that did most of the work recently.”

We think this is a great alternative to the typical collector convertible that is a nice size and provides decent performance from its V8 engine.  Its a great entry for someone new to the collector car hobby, expecially if all of the paperwork and an inspection of the undercarriage don’t reveal any surprises.  Good luck with the purchase!
