August 2 Update:  We notice this morning that owner of this Ramcharger we featured on July 19th lowered the price of his SUV by $1,000. We’ve updated the links and texts below accordingly.

We came across this listing with a title that simply read, “Barn Find” here on Craigslist in New Milford, Connecticut that tuned out to be a 1993 Dodge Ramcharger LE 4×4 being offered for $6,000.  Based on the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool, the seller has his Ramcharger priced $800 higher than the #4 “Fair condition value of $5,200.

Sadly, the seller provides the following brief description: “1993 Dodge RamCharger LE. Very good condition. Brand new tires. Well maintained.”  Consequently, you’ll need to interview him extensively during your in-person inspection of this Ramcharger to learn all of the details about it.

What we can tell you is that 1993 was the last year for the second generation Ramcharger that Dodge produced dating back to 1981.  Still based on a shortend version of the D100 full size truck, the most notable design change for the second generation Ramcharger was the fully welded and non-removable rear roof section.  The example featured here is a nicely optioned LE model that includes power windows in a nice two tone exterior with a tan cloth interior that presents very well.  The only thing we noticed from the pictures provided is the rust stain around the passenger side “Ram Charger” fender emblem.  An in-person inspection will help confirm whether this is an easy fix.  The engine also appears to be freshly detailed.

Ramchargers were a rare site when new, so its not often we see one like this, particularly from the last model year, come up for sale.  This is the perfect SUV for any enthusiast who subscribes to the “Mopar or No Car” mantra.  Good luck with the purchase!
