We came across this non-running, 44,510 mile, 1962 Ford F-100 Flareside Pickup featuring its original 292 cubic inch “Y” block V8 connected to a floor-shifted four speed manual here on Craigslist in Huntington, New York (Long Island) where the seller is asking $5,500.  Based on the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Guide, the seller currently has his truck priced $1,100 above the #4 “Fair” value of $4,400.  We lean towards negotiating the Hagerty price since you will need an alternative method to take this truck home.

The seller reports the F-100 he purchased from a Montana farm is very complete and has “just surface patina rust” with good glass all around.  Based on the detailed pictures including several underside shots we would agree this is a great candidate to shoot a coat of clear coat over the exterior and enjoy the patina as is.  Despite the great potential this truck has, its apparent the seller has lost interest as he mentions he’s working on a ’63 Dodge D-100 based project.

We see this truck as a great father-son project to get it back in road worthy condition that they can both enjoy taking to all of their local car shows.  Good luck with the purchase!
