Currently for sale in Hatfield, Pennsylvania is this Spanish Gold over white vinyl 1969 Plymouth Sport Fury you can find here on Craigslist where the private seller just reduced his asking price to $14,500.  Using the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool as a guide, the current caretaker now his Fury fairly priced $1,200 below the #4 “Fair” (Daily Driver) value of $15,700.

Redesigned for 1969, Plymouth’s Fury now featured the new rounded “fuesalage” styling Chrysler incorporated into its full size cars that year.  With five trim levels offered on three body styles, Furys accounted for nearly half of Plymouth’s sales for the 1969 model year.  This particular example is one of the rarest with only 1,579 produced.

While the private seller states his Fury is matching numbers car equipped with the “Super Commando” 383 cubic inch big block V8, what’s not clear for his post is whether its the 290 horsepower two barrel or 330 horsepower four barrel version.  If you know how to tell the difference based on the lone engine picture shown here, please comment below and let us know what to look for.

In addition to being a low production example, this Fury is a nicely optioned example with air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and a 3:23 SureGrip rear end. With a claimed 57K original miles and too many new parts to repeat here, this luxurious Fury is a pretty example that will cruise comfortably all day long that makes a nice alternative to the more common ragtops from the same period.  Good luck with the purchase!
