This 1980 AMC Eagle Wagon you can find here on Craigslist in Bangor, Pennsylvania is the sixth classic vehicle we’ve run across over the past two weeks from what appears to be the same caretaker, so we’re reaching out to him later today to see if we can get a tour of all of the cars he’s planning on offering. Stay tuned! He currently has his Eagle priced at $6,500. The NADA Classic, Collectible, Exotic, and Muscle Car Appraisal Guide lists their “Low”, “Average”, and “High” value range for this Eagle as $7,675, $10,450, and $16,100, so based on the pictures provided, the current caretaker appears to have his wagon fairly priced.
The current caretaker reports that he has all of the documentation supporting documentation proving his Eagle has only 58K miles, however the Estate Executor he bought the vehicle from incorrectly listed 158K on the title. While not a Limited model, this Eagle is a very well optioned survivor.
While the interior and exterior to be in like-new condition dating back to when the original owner parked it 18 years ago, the virtually indestructible 258 cubic inch straight six and its engine compartment are in need of a thorough detail.
Eagles were yet another example of AMC being slightly ahead of their time as these cars predated the current fascination with crossovers by thirty years. However, unlike today’s look-alike CUV’s, these Eagles are very capable soft-roaders that are incredibly hard to find today, especially in this condition. This is a great way to get noticed at the next Radwood festival, so good luck with the purchase!
