Posted on Friday here on Craigslist in Laconia, New Hampshire is this 11k original mile 1999 Buick Park Avenue Ultra the private seller wants $9,750 for. The NADA Classic, Collectible, Exotic, and Muscle Car Appraisal Guide lists their “Low”, “Average”, and “High” value range for this Buick at $2,475, $2,950, and $4,525, respectively. The current caretaker apparently expects a $5,000 premium for this highly sought-after car and for the low mileage, so we’ll keep an eye out on whether this car sells quickly.
Buick produced the second generation Park Avenue Ultra from 1997 through 2005 on GM’s “G” Platform. While you might quickly dismiss this sedan as just another boring Buick, not only do these cars carry an immense amount of luxury features, under the hood sits Buick’s 240 horsepower supercharged 3.8 liter V6. These are luxurious and powerful “sleepers” that go fast, but look slow doing it.
Not only is this car a sleeper, the Craigslist post we found it listed under is also pretty boring as we only have a one-sentence description to go on: “1999 Buick Park Avenue Ultra. The car spent most of its life in Florida. Clean car fax. Very nice, not quite mint (sun). Body very clean, only 19,000 miles.” As long as the seller can provide proof their Buick has been maintained properly despite the low miles, you will be buying a 21 year old close-to-new-car.
If you’re looking for a luxurious, dependable, and powerful daily driver that you can drive fast right through the RADAR, you can’t do much better than this Buick. Good luck with the purchase!
