Updated earlier this week is an 86k original mile, unmolested 1987 BMW E30 325i Convertible posted on Craigslist in East Village of Manhattan. The current caretaker is currently asking $9,000 or best offer, which relies on the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool indicates he has it priced $2,100 less than the #3 “Good” level.

BMW produced the second generation E30 Three-Series from 1982 through 1994 and is the sports sedan that the automotive community set as the bar for steering feel and handling prowess.  E30s are so highly regarded by enthusiasts it’s becoming very rare to find examples that haven’t been ravaged by a tuner or two.  For that simple reason, we love the 325i we found available as the only modification of this 5-speed, 2.5-liter inline-six powered car are the radio speakers and the convertible top, so says the seller.  With only 86K original miles, if the seller can provide a well-documented service history for his Bimmer, you’ll be buying a nice example of an E30 that is not only RADwood eligible, but if you’re interested you have a shot at bringing the car up to Concours specs for any BMW Club of America event.  We hope the next caretaker goes that route and doesn’t do anything to modify their new E30.  Either way, they choose, we wish them good luck with the purchase!
