Posted this week here on Craigslist in Point Pleasant, New Jersey is the cleanest 78K mile Geo Metro LSI Convertible we’ve seen since these cars were new. the current caretaker is asking $1,500, which using the NADA Classic Car Online Guide places the asking price between the guide’s “Average” estimate of $1,150 and “High” estimate of $1,725.
Introduced for 1992 as the least expensive convertible offered in the U.S. for a base price of $9,999, the tiny, two seat convertible version of Suzuki’s sprint brought memories of the Nash Metropolitan. While the sixty cubic inch three cylinder provided a respectable-for-its-size 55 horsepower, this car was all about fun on a budget while returning 40 miles per gallon.
The current caretaker of this Metro reports that their 78.7K original mile Metro has always been garage kept and that everything except the air conditioning system is currently “in full working order.” If you’re looking for a RADwood eligible fun car while you’re still paying off your student loans, this Metro is the car for you. Good luck with the purchase!
