Often times you can come across an interesting classic truck for sale by the current caretaker along the side of the road on your way to the AACA Fall Hershey swap meet. That’s exactly what happened this weekend when we spotted this 1969 Ford F100 Ranger for sale just outside of Hershey, Pennsylvania where the current caretaker is asking $7,500 or best offer for their truck. Using the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool as a guide, the private seller currently has their F100 priced $700 higher than the #4 “Fair” (Daily Driver) estimate.
Equipped with the not-often-seen 360 cubic inch Ford V8 connected to an automatic transmission, our inspection revealed a solid truck underneath and other than the odd surface rust running along the bed sides, the faded paint could be buffed to give this truck a nice patina. The interior received a black cloth reupholstered bench seat at some point and the faded and dated fiberglass sun visor needs to go, but other than those minor points, this F100 appears to have good bones to either drive as is or restore to its like-new glory. This truck was locked when we inspected it, so we can’t comment on the condition of the cab’s rocker panels. If you are seriously interested in this F100, you can contact the seller directly at 717-979-9743. Whatever you decide to do with this truck, please comment below and keep us posted on your progress. Good luck with the purchase!
