Posted late last week here on Craigslist on the Northeast side of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is very lime green 1972 Plymouth Valiant Scamp the private seller is currently asking $13,800 Or Best Offer for. Using the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool as a guide means its currently priced between the #2 “Excellent” estimate of $14,200 and the #3 “Good” value of $10,800. If you are seriously interested in this Scamp, you can contact the seller via this e-mail address.
Chrysler redesigned its Plymouth Valiant and Dodge Dart twins for 1967. The rectilinear and simple hardtop styling, especially the two-door version, proved to be somewhat of a timeless design as Chrysler continued selling this basic car through 1976 with only mild revisions to meet emissions and safety regulations. Beginning in 1971, Chrysler started offering a badge-engineered version of the Dodge Dart Swinger called the Valiant Scamp. This used the Dart Swinger 2-door hardtop body shell with Valiant front sheet metal and dual tail lamps carried over from the 1970 Dodge Dart. Power train offerings were virtually identical.
Nice clean driver quality very solid 72 Scamp V8. All frames and floors and body are solid. This has a 318 4bbl auto (904) with and 8 3/4 rear and 3.23 gears. The drive engine and trans were rebuilt within 5000 miles. It is has manual disc brakes, manual steering and a new heater core. Rallye wheels with nice tires. After market gauges. The car is in good running order and is used regularly. The paint is nice driver quality and the interior is in great shape. It has a split bench seat with an after market B&M shifter. The column was switched to a floor shift (correct) column. This is a fun car.
Good luck with the purchase!
