Update – we just confirmed the seller of this “Classifind” deleted their listing, so we’re now able to call this one “SOLD!” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.
Originally listed in November 2019 on Craigslist in New Haven, Connecticut is this right-hand-drive 1960 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II project for sale by the family who has owned it “for the past 29-plus years” with a current asking price of $22,000 or best offer. The Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool confirms the current caretakers have their non-running Rolls well below the current #4 “Fair” (Daily Driver) estimate factoring out the right-hand drive.
Not for the faint of heart or light in the wallet, if you decide to delve into this project, you’ll soon own what was once the car of choice among the rich and famous during its production run. We love that this example is family-owned for nearly 30 years, so chances are good you’ll be able to get the complete history of this Sliver Cloud from them.
Here’s the private seller’s description:
“A true barn or more closely garage find. This Rolls Royce has been in our family for 29+ years. It is ready for its new owner who can take the time to restore it to original glory. Always garage kept. Always serviced when it was in use, suspension work, transmission work..have a folder of receipts. We do have the title for it as well. The engine does crank and turn over. The car has not been run or driven in 10 years and will need restoration.”
Good luck with the purchase!
