Posted for sale on Craigslist in Tomkins Cove, New York is this driver quality 1982 Porsche 911SC Targa the third caretaker is hoping to get $23,500 for, which relies on the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool as a guide shows the current caretaker has his Targa smartly priced $2,000 higher than the #4 “Fair” level of $21,500.

The third owner, who is selling his 911SC to purchase a home, honestly reports that his Targa is a numbers matching example with no leaks or rust that has been “professionally serviced since day one.”  He states that it runs and shifts smoothly and that all electronics and the heater work.  The pictures provided illustrate the five exterior blemishes on this driver quality car.  While the exterior appears to remain very presentable despite its current blemishes, the front bucket seats, particularly the driver’s, will make a nice winter project to get new foam and hides to bring the interior back up to presentable standards.  Based on the information the third owner provides in his post, we agree with his comment, “If you are in the market for an air-cooled Porsche 911 that you can actually get in and drive, this is the car for you.” Good luck with the purchase!

We’d love to hear your thoughts about this 911SC.  Comment below and let us know!
