Posted just in time for Sports Car Saturday is this green over tan leather 20k original mile 1993 Alfa Romeo Spider listed on Craigslist in Ephrata, Pennsylvania  the second owner is hoping to get $18,500 for.  Relying on the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool as a guide shows the private seller has his Spider currently priced between the #2″Excellent” level of $20,900 and the #3 “Good” estimate of $16,700.

Originally debuted in 1966, Alfa Romeo launched the final S4 Spider series in the U.S. in 1991 with Bosch Motronic electronic fuel injection, full-width body-colored plastic bumper fascias, an electric cooling fan, full-width rear taillights, and on-board diagnostics while eliminating the front under-bumper and rear trunk-lid spoilers of the previous version.  Production of the Spider ended in 1993 and while a new front-wheel-drive version launched the following year, Alfa Romeo elected not to import the new car to North America.

While the seller provides a detailed description of his Spider, you may want to act fast before he decides to change his mind based on his narrative below.  If you are serious about owning one of the last Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce’s imported to the U.S. you’d be hard-pressed to find a nicer example in a color combination usually found on a sports car produced in Great Britain.

“This is a last model year Spider with 20,000 original miles. It was originally leased for 2 years from ALGAR Ferrari in Rosemont and then sold by ALGAR to the first owner, who sold it to me. Always garaged, original paint (except I replaced the front bumper after I cracked the original backing it out of the garage!). I have maintenance records, all original manuals and booklets, tool kit, unused spare tire. The car is in excellent condition, probably show quality but the original seat bottoms look a little old, but no rips or mars. I put on a NARDI steering wheel and a radio with CD player with new speakers. The originals are in good condition and come with the car (the original speakers are worn out. The airbag steering wheel is perfect.) The original top is also very good. Everything works, including the air conditioner. One snap is missing from the tonneau cover strap down. The car was just serviced this summer by Heistands shop in Manheim and included a complete rebuild of the clutch master cylinder and clutch lever, brake fluids and all oil filters and oil.) I want to sell this as a courtesy pass through at a Dealership to save sales tax on a new car. If the car I want is not available next week, I will cancel this sale.  If I don’t sell it within the next week I am putting it into winter storage. If you are an enthusiast and want a really nice example, this is a good one! Please contact me only if you are serious and have the available funds.”

Good luck with the purchase!
