Listed just in time for Truckin Tuesday here on Craigslist in Saddle River, New Jersey is this 50,513 original mile, 1973 Chevrolet C10 survivor the private seller is currently asking $25,900, which relying on the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool as a guide indicates its currently priced halfway between the #1 “Concours” level of $32,200 and the #2 “Excellent” estimate of $21,500. If you’re serious about purchasing this survivor truck you can e-mail the seller here to start the conversation.
Chevrolet and GMC introduced their completely redesigned C/K branded trucks for the 1973 model year and with only one major refresh in 1981, continued production with only powertrain and trim changes through 1987. When introduced, GM called their trucks the “Rounded Line” to highlight the rounded windshield, door frames, and wrap-around tail lights that looked revolutionary when new and were designed to help improve fuel economy and reduce wind noise. Ironically by today’s everything-looks-the-same aerodynamic styling, these vintage trucks really stand out and have grown to be known as the “Square-Body” generation.
If you’re looking to add an unmolested, well-optioned, big-block powered Square Body to your collection, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better example than this one. While the solid rocker panels and original paint are impressive, we are blown away at how the bed looks brand new in the pictures provided. At worst case down the road you’ll break even on this purchase as long as you keep the miles limited to traveling to and from shows. Good luck with the purchase!
