Patina’d Potential: 1967 Ford Country Sedan Wagon – $6500
Listed here on Craigslist within the past week in Robbinsville, New Jersey is this driver quality 1967 Ford Country Sedan wagon the current caretaker is asking $6,500 for, which relying on a similar Galaxie 500 on the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool as a proxy shows the private seller has his car listed for $200 less than the #4 “Fair” (Daily Driver) estimate of $6,700. With the leaking gas tank removed and the car currently relying on a small tank under the hood, this is hardly a daily driver currently, so be sure to factor that into your negotiations. If you are serious about purchasing this Country Sedan for your next build, you can text the current caretaker Kevin at (732) 692-3548 to get the conversation started.
While presented honestly as for from perfect, we agree with the seller’s assessment this Ford wagon has a lot of potential to make a nice Rat-Rod by leaving the current faded repaint in place. Good luck with the purchase!
Here’s the seller’s description:
“For sale: 1967 Ford Country Sedan Station Wagon. This is the wagon version of the Galaxie. Very original and complete. Looks like one repaint with amazing patina. This would make a great rat-rod, or with a little TLC a very nice driver. Has a 390 big block (2-bbl.) and automatic transmission. American Racing rims and four matching Mastercraft tires. Runs and drives but is not quite road-worthy. Rear brake lines and wheel cylinder replaced. Gas tank has leak, was removed. Runs on small tank up front. Needs front end work – control arm bushings. Comes with extra parts collected (dash pad, kick panels, correct steering wheel, rt. side vent window, brake parts, window tracks, emblem and electrical parts). Has rust in rockers, but for it’s age – not bad. Needs interior work. Has build sheet and original owner’s card.”
