New Over Old:1946 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible Restomod – Sold!
While we appreciate preserved and restored cars of the 40’s, we always love coming across an example that’s been fully modernized underneath such as this 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible listed on Craigslist in Woodstown, New Jersey where the private seller is currently asking $30,900 for. A review of the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool for unmodified examples confirms the seller has his Restomod priced somewhere between the #2 “Excellent” appraisal of $49,800 and the #3 “Good” estimate of $23,100.
While the private seller (and perhaps builder) of this ’46 calls it a “Street Rod”, the fact it’s a post-World War II car combined with the modern 1990 Lincoln drivetrain underneath has us labeling this a Restomod instead. Tomato, TomAHto…either way its a cool car we’d love to cruise around in. Not only will you get positive responses from casual onlookers wheverever you drive this, all of the ethusisasts at the car show you drive this to will be very impressed with what’s stuffed under the hood and on the chassis. Good luck with the purchase!
