Silver Slick Top: 1992 VW Corrado SLC VR6 – $13,000
The Volkswagen Corrado Sport Luxury Coupe was a worthy successor to VW’s Scirocco, however the unfavorable exchange rate at the time make the Karmann-Built coupes such as the example listed here on Craigslist in Gaithersburg, Maryland a rare site. The current caretaker and VW enthusiast for the past 35 years is currently offering his 135K original mile Corrado for $13,000, which referring to the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool as a guide confirms he has it priced $1,500 less than the #2 “Excellent” estimate of $14,500. If you are serious about purchasing this rare Volkswagen sport coupe, you can start the conversation by emailing the seller here.
Corrado Excerpt from Hagerty Insurance:
Here’s the seller’s description:
“Silver with Black leather 1992 VW Corrado SLC VR6 Rare to find one in Silver without factory roof. Only 135K miles. Well cared for Corrado. Clean Carfax, paint is original I had the front bumper painted because I wanted to fill the tag holes.
The car runs and drives like new. Everything works on the car from the A/C to the rear spoiler. Only issue, the driver seat belt stays in the drive position but no big deal I just pull the belt over my shoulder once seated. All parts were just installed. I have all keys and books and a binder of receipts.
