White Pony: 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible – Sold!
If you’re looking for a restored 1960’s classic car for the price of a brand new Honda Civic that can fit in a standard garage, you can’t go wrong with this Wimbledon White over Rangoon Red 1966 Mustang listed on Craigslist in West Hempstead, New York (Long Island). The current caretaker is asking $24,000 for their restored Mustang, which relying on the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool as a guide confirms he has his Pony priced $2,440 higher than the #2 “Excellent” estimate of $21,960 after netting out a 10% deduction for the automatic transmission.
Not only do we love the classic color combination, we love how this example features a number of Pony upgrades that likely were not original to the car. Most interesting is the install of the rear valance trumpet exhaust, which was normally found on V8-powered GT versions. This is a classic Mustang that will get you more than your share of positive comments anywhere your drive. Good luck with the purchase!
