Ford produced the fourth generation F-series trucks from 1960 through 1966. In October 1964, the 1965 F-Series introduced an all-new frame, which would be used on the F-Series through 1979. The body itself remained largely unchanged, but on 1965 and 1966 models the turn signals are above the headlights. Replacing the rudimentary straight-axle in the front was an all-new independent “Twin I-Beam” suspension with coil springs on two-wheel-drive trucks. The 1965 and 1966 F-Series trucks are distinguished with a “TWIN I-BEAM” emblem on the front fender. Here’s a link to a 1966 Ford TV commercial showing the suspension in action:
We recognize the seller’s location as last October he two other solid Colorado trucks before. We get the impression this caretaker frequents the dry west to find and bring back solid Ford pickups to make a couple of bucks. No harm, no foul in our opinion as he’s saving the transport costs for the new buyer.
The seller provides a good walk-around video of his F100 and agrees watching this will answer many of your questions about this truck. Good luck with the purchase!
