GuessWhatRide is the game designed to test your collector car knowledge.  From March 12th – March 19th, 2020 we asked readers to pick what 1965 Chevrolet had the tail light cluster shown above from a multiple choice list.  We had a feeling our latest “Guess What Ride” contest would trick many people and we weren’t disappointed: 75% of the respondents incorrectly picked “1965 Impala” as the answer. The correct choice was “none of the above” which only 14% picked.

While the 1965 Impala used the same style light, they came in clusters of three. The lower trim Bel Air and Biscayne models made due with only two.  Congrats to reader John H. for being the one winner chosen at random from all of the correct entries to win one Griot’s Garage 55590 1 Pack PFM Terry Weave Drying Towel.  “PFM” Stand for “Pure Freakin’ Magic and after years of relying on a traditional chamois, we switched to this amazing microfiber towel.  If you’re not familiar with them, check out this Griot’s Garage Video demonstrating how much water these towels can absorb.

Biscayne the Impala had 3 tale lights

Even back in 1958 the Impala was the only one with 3 tail light bullets on each side. Lesser models like my 58 Biscayne had two.
