Five Months Gone: 1955 Chevrolet 210 Handyman Wagon Mild Custom – STILL $23,500
April 22nd Update: five months since we first featured this 1955 Chevrolet 210 Two-Door station wagon, we came across an updated post where the private seller still needs his car gone, however he’s raised the price $1,000 to $23,500 or best offer. While this example appears to be in nice shape, this is one of those cars where the customizing is old enough to make the car look dated. Armed with the knowledge he’s been trying to sell this wagon for nearly half a year, we’d start with an offer of $15,000 and walk at anything higher than $17,000. We’ve updated the facts and links below. Good luck with the purchase!
Chevrolet offered two two-door wagon versions of its popular 1955-1957 “Hot One” line. While the stylish Nomad usually get all of the attention, listed over the weekend here on Craigslist in Cheektowaga, New York (Buffalo) is this 210 two door Handyman wagon the current caretaker is asking $22,500 for. Using the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool as a guide shows the the seller has his Handyman priced halfway between the #2 “Excellent” estimate of $26,600 and the #3 “Good: appraisal of $17,200. Judging by the condition of this wagon in the pictures provided we’d lean towards trying to negotiate closer the later Hagerty estimate. If you are serious about purchasing this 210, you can start the conversation by e-mailing the seller here and please remember to mention you saw the seller’s post featured here on GuysWithRides.com.
We like this this two door Chevy as it appears to be a nice driver quality car that was the benefit of an older interior and powertrain update. This is a great example of a car you can enjoy now while you perform upgrades as your time and budget permit. As long as your in-person inspection checks out and you can get the seller to come down a bit on price, you’ll have a nice Tri-Five you can enjoy all summer long. Good luck with the purchase!
Here’s the seller’s brief description:
“Selling my ’55 2 door wagon, it has a 327/350 automatic transmission, nice car. If you are interested please send me your contact information and I will reply. Just lowered price, need it gone!“
