April 23rd Update:  we noticed a fresh Craigslist post for this Stunning Studebaker Champion we first featured back in early November last year, the private seller listed it for $49,900.  With all of the current events, it appears the seller continues to struggle finding a buyer so for now he continues to stay firm at $46,900.  Good luck with the purchase!

March 5th Update:  when we first featured this Stunning Studebaker Champion back in early November last year, the private seller listed it for $49,900.  It appears there were no takers and he ended up keeping it all winter as we just noticed a fresh post with a $3,000 price reduction to $46,900.

If you love the look of  classic bullet-nosed Studebakers, but prefer a modern powertrain equipped with modern comfort and convenience features, this 1950 convertible restomod just posted on Craigslist in Lockport, New York (north of Buffalo) where the current caretaker is now asking $46,900, or three thousand less than where he started last fall. Interestingly, according to the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool a stock example in #1 “Concours” condition is currently only worth $40,800 and prices are on the decline, so here is a prime example of a perfect candidate to do exactly what the owner has and it’s available at a you-can’t-replicate-it-for-this-price.  The private seller provides a nice synopsis of his creation below.

“Rare 1950 Studebaker convertible (one of 9300 originally built) classic bullet nose, ZZ4 crate chevy 350 motor, 700R4 trans, 2006 Nissan Murano Sunlit Copper paint, power steering, power brakes, power windows, electric cloth top, power seat on drivers side, tan leather and suede interior, tan wool carpet, door panels, Vintage AC/heat, classic instruments, pioneer stereo system, disc player in trunk, Budnik 16” Billet wheels, totally restored and detailed S 10 chassis, 6400 miles.  The work performed on this vehicle is of the highest quality with mind-blowing attention to detail.

We really like what appears to be great build quality on this Studebaker body grafted over a modern Chevrolet S10 truck chassis.  We agree with the seller’s assessment you’ll definitely be a stand out at every car show you drive this restomod to.  Good luck with the purchase!

We’d love to hear your thoughts about this Studebaker.  Comment below and let us know!
