This Radwood-friendly entry for Topless Thursday is an estate sale find a specimen of a 1994 Saab 900 Turbo convertible, optioned with the automatic transmission and showing just 85,000 miles on the odometer. The Saab showed up on Craigslist in Marshall, Virginia with a host of recent maintenance items already addressed by the seller and a listed price of $7,500 with offers considered. NADA’s Classic Car guide places high retail for a 1994 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible at $8,600, with “Average” retail clocking in at $6,425. With that in mind, the seller has priced this recently discovered 900 Turbo fairly, especially with the option to make a best offer.

1994 was an interesting year for the 900, as Saab was evolving under increased influence from GM. New models that year were the first built on a shared Opel chassis, and many enthusiasts point to this evolution as the beginning of the end of Saab’s quirky, unorthodox identity. The convertible, however, was given a reprieve, remaining on the classic Saab 900 platform for another year, and giving enthusiasts a final bite at the apple of Saab-designed underpinnings. This example has been extensively refreshed following the seller’s acquisition of the car as a dusty, forgotten summer driver via an estate sale.

Here’s the seller’s description:

“Car was an Estate Barn Find, parked since 2006. Have photos of the car when found—covered in fine dust with completely flat dry rotted tires. Interior, body, mechanical in Excellent condition. Time Capsule. New fuel pump, flushed fuel system, some engine hoses, a battery, premium tires, and gentle hand wash have resulted in a near-flawless example of the earlier “hand-made” Saabs. Turbo, engine, transmission, brakes, and top all function perfectly. Top was replaced in 2000. Some of the piping along the edge of the top could be re-sewn. Everything works as new. Almost flawless. Body 8/10 (minor fading on hood, minor dings), Interior 9/10, mechanical 9/10. clean CARFAX, clean Virginia title, brand new state inspection. Runs and drives perfectly. Seller will assist with shipping. In Marshall Va. OFFERS CONSIDERED!
