Hold My Beer: 1948 Fiat Topolino Street Rod – Sold!
Free For All Friday affords us the latitude to pick any wild Classifind we find of interest that doesn’t fit into our other daily themes. This one-off, custom-built creation the owner calls a 1948 Fiat Topolino Street Rod on Craigslist in Hampton, Virginia is arguably the wildest to date. While the builder/seller labels it as a street rod, the only thing on this creation remotely close to a ’48 Fiat is the Fiberglass Drag Racing body. No, with its tilt-up fiberglass body, long wheelbase forward of the firewall, 502 cubic inch big block, and an inability to complete a “K” turn in a neighborhood street, we think this is more of a street-legal funny car that’s even equipped with heating and air conditioning. Comment below on whether you agree.
Designed and constructed with a no-expense-spared build quality beyond reproach, this custom creation is for the discerning collector who like to have everyone stop what they are doing the moment he drives into the car show of his choice to show this thing off. The video and the detailed description below provide all of the information needed prior to an in-person inspection.
Here’s the seller’s description:
