May 26th Update: Two more months gone and we came across a fresh listing of this customized 1948 Ford Pickup with the price increased back up slightly from $10,000 to $11,000. We’ve updated the link below.
March 17th Update: well, winter came and went (sort of) and the private seller of their customized 1948 Ford pickup apparently was never able to sell it last fall so now we found a fresh post with the same pictures and the price lowered to an even $10,000. The seller, Bill, states he’s still on the fence about selling his truck, so if you’re serious about buying this Hot Rod, we don’t recommend trying to low-ball him when you either call of text him at (609) 501-4720. We’ve updated the link below – good luck with the purchase and remember to mention you saw it featured on GuysWithRides.com.
Winter is coming, so to make room in his garage, the current caretaker of this customized 1948 Ford F-1 1/2 Ton pickup posted on Craigslist in Vineland, New Jersey where he is currently now asking $10,000 for it, which is $3,500 less than what he originally listed it for back in October. Using the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool for a stock ’48 F-1 as a proxy, the private seller now has his truck priced $1,100 lower than the #4 “Fair” (Daily Driver) estimate of $11,100. While the Jack Daniels theme in flat black may not be everyone’s cup of whiskey, we agree with the seller’s assertion his truck likely won’t last long as it’s the perfect palette to make this truck over the winter.
“Selling 1948 FORD F100 Short Bed. The truck starts up and drives well for being almost 75 years old. The truck needs just a little TLC to be complete, which I don’t have the time to do. I recently had the truck up to 70 mph and she stopped on a dime. She drives straight with no issues. The truck has a Ford 351 Cleveland Engine with an automatic TH350 Transmission that shifts through all of the gears. The truck has a fiberglass tilt hood, and the cab has been chopped and lowered. The truck is worth much more than what I’m selling it for. Some of the minor issues are the bed needs a little sheet metal around the wheel wells, The trucks interior needs a little TLC, minor oil leak, head lights need to be connected and some minor cosmetic issues. There is little to no rust on the body. The frame is straight and in good condition. With a little work the truck could be used as a daily driver.
If you are reading this post the truck is still for sale.
If you are looking for something for nothing, keep looking. Im really on the fence about selling.
If you are looking for a perfect all original 1948 F100, The truck is not for you. You can pay 48,000.
Serious people only, my time is valuable, If you are serious give me a call or text me.“
