Oct 2020 | Classifind Cut, Classifinds, Topless Thursday

October 21st Update: We just confirmed the Craigslist ad for this car expired and with no replacement listing found, we’re assuming this car sold.  This one may have got away, but if you have your heart set on something similar, email us the details of what you’re looking for or call Rudy directly at (908)295-7330

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of its original 1969 Trans Am, for 1999 Pontiac produced a limited run of triple white limited edition modern versions of its below F-Body.  Oddly, the seller of this example currently listed in September 2020 on Craigslist in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) claims his car is 1996, making this car a clone rather than the real deal.

Here’s the seller’s description:

“Rare 1996 Trans AM Convertible Classic Car Anniversary Edition, 6 speed Manual, Very Fast,
1 of 917 produced and only 1 of 127 with 6-speed manual transmission, LT1-350, with Ram Air, Disk Brakes, New Dual Exhaust, New Air Conditioning, Lighted Roll Bar, K&N Filter, Tinted Windows, Alloy Wheels, New Tires,
Records Kept in Binder, Recent new parts include, Distributor, Opti Spark, Water Pump, All Plugs and Wires, Fuel Filter, Shocks and Struts, Alternator, Battery, etc.”

Adult owned the last 18+ years, Excellent Condition, only 70k original miles, New Inspection, Serious Inquiries Only

It’s not a 1999, that would have been BBC equipped with the LS1, not the LT1. Its not even a 30th anniversary edition. It’s just a white 1996 Trans Am convertible with the white leather interior (optional) and a white convertible top (choice of black, white or tan). The rear 30th anniversary had a dark blue cloth top, the LS1, blue tinted chrome five spoke wheels with 30th anniversary center caps, 30th anniversary emblems on the doors, 30th anniversary embroidered headrests & floor mats. It’s a ‘96 with a sticker job.
