Classifind Cut 25: 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 – SOLD!

Oct 2020 | Classifind Cut, Classifinds, Truckin Tuesday

October 27th Update – We just confirmed the private seller of this FJ60 deleted their Craigslist ad, so we’re now able to call this one “Sold!”  This one may have got away, but if you have your heart set on something similar, email us the details of what you’re looking for or call Rudy directly at (908)295-7330.

What do you do with a rust-free, California-based Landcruiser FJ60 with nearly 400,000 miles traveled? Drive it to Pennsylvania and proceed to swap in a small block Chevy 350 cubic inch motor.  That’s the story provided in the listing for this 1987 FJ60 first posted in late October 2020 in Royersford, Pennsylvania with an asking price of $7,000.  As robust as the original engine was in this FJ60 with this kind of mileage it was likely due for a rebuild and the engine swap was likely a much more economical alternative providing much better horsepower and torque, so no harm, no foul in our book.

Here’s the seller’s description:

“For Sale 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 4 Door Sliver.
Drivetrain: The Engine was Professionally replaced with a rebuilt GMC 350 cu. in. V8. In my opinion is a stronger and more powerful engine. 4-speed transmission with 4 wheel drive. Gear for off-roading and towing.
Current PA State Inspection and Emissions. In Good Condition & Runs Well.
The vehicle is originally from California and Driven to PA, mileage at 381,411.
Great Vehicle for playing or traveling in the snow.”
