Classifind Cut 33: 1977 MG MGB w/AC – $9,500
A vintage British sports car equipped with air conditioning? Isn’t that what the convertible top is for? Given the already anemic smog controlled output of rubber bumper MGB’s, this 1977 white-over-black example just listed here on Craigslist in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania won’t win any drag races, especially when the compressor kicks in. Offered at $9,500, this MGB features a Weber carburetor that hopefully makes up for some of the aforementioned parasitic losses. If you are serious about buying this MGB, you can start the conversation by emailing the seller. When you do, please remember to mention you saw their MGB featured here on GuysWithRides.com. Good luck with the purchase!
Here’s the seller’s description:
“This is a 1977 MGB Roadster (built in 1976), the body on the MGB is extremely clean.. the floors and rocker panels are straight and very solid. The Pure White paint is in excellent, shiny, condition and looks great with the all-Black interior. The interior is in decent shape with only a few cracks on the top of the dashboard and a slight rip on the passenger seat. The carpet is in great shape as is the rest of the interior, heavy-duty “MG” rubber mats protect the floors. It also has air conditioning installed but most likely needs a little bit of attention but is all in place, this was a rare factory option back in the day. The top is in excellent condition and the plastic windows are nice and clear. Tires and brakes are excellent on this car. Car runs very nice with the Weber downdraft upgraded carb. Recent radiator upgrade makes this MGB run nice and cool. Also recently added was an ECCO electric fuel pump which is one of the best fuel pumps you can use on an MGB. Flush mounted antenna is nice for when the car is stored. There is a trunk carpet kit installed, and the spare tire is in good shape as well. This car turns heads everywhere it goes and is an excellent example of a late model MGB Roadster. One wiper arm is missing but will be replaced soon. Get in and enjoy this beautiful vintage British sports car now for the fall!
