Classifind Cut 45: 1954 Ford Crestline Skyliner Hardtop – SOLD!
January 7th, 2021 Update: We just confirmed the private seller of this ride deleted their Craigslist ad, so we’re now able to call this one “Sold!” While this one got away, if you have your heart set on something similar, email us the details of what you’re looking for or call Rudy directly at (908)295-7330.
Say “Skyliner” to most vintage car enthusiasts and visions of Ford’s late-fifties hardtop-convertible come to mind. However, Ford first used the Skyliner name on their 1954 Crestline two-door hardtop that featured an integrated acrylic glass panel over the front seating area called the “freshness of view” green-tinted panel. This dark blue over black example originally listed in October 2020 on Craigslist in Madison, Ohio (Cleveland) for $21,000 is one of only 13,144 made during the lone year of production.
Here’s the seller’s description:
“1954 Ford Skyliner Has glass roof, Dark Blue with black interior. V8 engine, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, original radio, all glass good, new wide whitewall tires, new shocks, paint is old but passible. 5000 mi since overhaul.”
