Classfind Cut 63: 1974 Chevrolet Corvette – SOLD!

Nov 2020 | Classifind Cut, Classifinds, Sports Car Saturday

Update – we just confirmed the seller of this “Classifind” deleted their listing, so we’re now able to call this one “SOLD!” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.

Entering its seventh model year, for 1974 Chevrolet’s C3 Corvette featured a new rounded urethane rear bumper system in place of the squared Kamm-back tail and chrome rear bumper blades.  For the 1974 model only, casting limitations mandated left and right bumper covers with a vertical center seam. Engineers moved the anti-theft alarm key activator from the rear panel to the front left fender. Tailpipes were now turned down as the new bumper cover eliminated the tailpipe extensions.  In the final production year before introducing catalytic converters, the L-82 350 cubic inch small block V8 still featured a still respectable 250 net horsepower and 270 foot-pounds of torque.

This driver quality, silver-over-black example originally listed in November 2020 on Craigslist in Jamesburg, New Jersey features a brand new brake system and an asking price of $13,995 or best offer.  The Collector Car Market Review Online Tool places the asking price between this guide’s current #4 “Fair” estimate of $12,150 and its #3 “Good” appraisal of $18,650.

Here’s the seller’s brief description:

“Great Driver

4 Speed

$13,995 or best offer”
