Classifind Cut: 1948 Chevrolet 6400 Loadmaster Stakebed – SOLD!

Nov 2020 | Classifind Cut, Classifinds, Truckin Tuesday

December 8th Update: We just confirmed the private seller of this ride deleted their Craigslist ad, so we’re now able to call this one “Sold!”  While this one got away, if you have your heart set on something similar, email us the details of what you’re looking for or call Rudy directly at (908)295-7330.

The patina look on vintage trucks is so popular that simulating over a half-century of natural wear has become an art form in its own right.  However, this 1948 Chevrolet Loadmaster 6400 Stake Bed relies on its clear-coated original patina, right down to the original Jersey company that used this truck when new.  That combined with the fact it currently features a New York State inspection good through 2021 motivated us to highlight this heavy-duty survivor originally listed in November 2020 on Craigslist in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania with an asking price of $6,800.  The Collector Car Market Review Online Tool confirms the ask is right in line with this guide’s current #4 “Fair” appraisal of $6,450.
