Classifind Cut: 1998 Ford Ranger 4×4 – SOLD!

Dec 2020 | Craigslist ClassiFINDS, Truckin Tuesday

December 7th Update – Just as we predicted when we first featured this clean Ford Ranger last week, the private seller already deleted their Craigslist ad, so we’re officially calling this one “Sold!”  While this one got away, if you have your heart set on something similar, email us the details of what you’re looking for or call Rudy directly at (908)295-7330.

It’s hard to believe Ford produced its right-sized Ranger pickup over a 29-year production run spanning 1983 through 2012 model years. During that time, Ford produced the Ranger over three generations using a single chassis architecture. The second generation, launched in 1998, is well represented by this very clean and well maintained four-wheel-drive example originally listed in early December 2020 in Boonton, New Jersey. Said to be a one-owner with only 74K original miles, the current caretaker is asking $5,950.   Comparing this price against the NADA Guides Classic Car Online Valuation Tool confirms this private seller has Ranger priced at the upper end of this guide’s “Low”, “Average”, and “High” retail value range of $2,025, $3,750, and $6,025, respectively.

Here’s the seller’s description:

“Low mileage, one owner, extremely well maintained. New front and rear brakes, no rust on frame of truck.4.0L.V6, automatic over drive, A/C. 74,000 miles & runs and rides excellent! 4 x 4

Do not text, will not answer!”
