Classifind Cut: 1970 Cadillac Eldorado – SOLD!

Dec 2020 | Classifinds, Free For All Friday

December 11th Update – In a bold move to stiff Craigslist out of five bucks, the seller of this Eldorado completely switched the pictures and description to feature a 1984 Ford Mustang he must also be selling.  With no reference to the original Eldorado in the ad, we’re assuming its now sold.  While this one got away, if you have your heart set on something similar, email us the details of what you’re looking for or call Rudy directly at (908)295-7330.

If you wonder why this tiny 1970 Fiat 500L we’re also featuring today didn’t enjoy much success in the U.S., at the other end of the spectrum in 1970 was Cadillac’s Eldorado.  At 225 inches long, two of those Fiats fit inside the overall length of these 7.7 Litre V8-powered cruise ships. One such example is this survivor quality Cotillion blue over black leather 1970 edition originally listed in November 2020 on Craigslist in Hackettstown, New Jersey by the caretaker since 1980 with an asking price of $6,500.  The Collector Car Market Review Online Tool confirms the seller’s ask falls between this guide’s current #3 “Good” estimate of $5,525 and the #2 “Very Good” appraisal of $9,825.

Here’s the seller’s description:

“Hi, I have a nice 1970 Eldorado. It’s a nice car that had one owner for 40 years. It has 83000 miles on it. I do have some original paperwork with the car. It does run and drive good. Nice chrome and a nice interior and a perfect dash. It is not perfect, but nice. The low book value is 6750. Thanks, Bob 201 nine one three seven two eight one ps I do have the hubcaps, I took them off to put air in the tires and never put them back on. No lowball offers, don’t waste my time.”
