Triumph’s iconic TR-6 received no major styling changes throughout its production run lasting from the model year 1968 through 1976.  While recently we have really seen prices for many examples climb above $15,000, it’s still nice to come across a driver quality example such as this driver quality Carmine red over black vinyl 1972 example originally listed in December 2020 on Craigslist in Ellington, Connecticut (Hartford) featuring the desirable electric overdrive and an asking price of $9,000.  Researching the Collector Car Market Review Online Tool reveals the private seller has their Triumph priced between this guide’s #4 “Fair” estimate of $5,150 and its #3 “Good” appraisal of $10,250.  The Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool provides higher range values that confirm this private seller has his TR-6 priced between this guide’s #4 “Fair” estimate of $7,100 and the #2 “Excellent” appraisal of $13,300.
