Mint: 1973 Oldsmobile 41K Mile Delta 88 – Sold?
January 30, 2021 Update – we just noticed the listing “Classifind” expired, so with no replacement found we’re assuming this ride “Sold?” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.
For 1973, the bread-and-butter full-size sedan offering from Oldsmobile was the Delta 88, and this 41K original mile all mint green example originally listed in December 2020 on Craigslist in Buffalo, New York for $12,000 appears to be a like-new time capsule. This was the final year before the addition of the clunky five-mile-per-hour safety bumpers. Despite the excellent condition, four-door-sedan prices barely ever break away from their used car value roots, so the current asking price is nearly $5,000 above the current Collector Car Market Review Online Tool’s current #1 “Excellent” appraisal of only $8,600.
Here’s the seller’s description:
“Beautiful Classic 1973 Delta 88 Oldsmobile in mint condition.
Color is a mint green with a vinyl cream top. Interior mint green.
Power steering, windows and locks. A/C works good and stereo/sounds works.
Low miles… Runs great. Contact Walter for more details..”

Maybe the less than clunky bumpers will be thrown in?
Sorry, we meant to add the word “rear!” To clarify, 1973 had the front safety bumper added however, it wasn’t until the ’74 model year when Oldsmobile added an equally clunky unit with revised tail lights out back.
