By the late eighties, Dodge D-Series pickup design was fast approaching twenty years old. Hoping to jump-start sales of the design dating back to 1972, Dodge introduced the optional 5.9 Liter 6BT Cummins inline six-cylinder Turbo Diesel for the 1989 model year. With its low-rpm torque and significantly better fuel mileage compared to V8 gas-fueled alternatives, the Cummins became a popular choice for truck buyers who frequently towed something. This 1990 Dodge W250 originally listed in December 2020 on Craigslist in Pearl River, New York the trailer towing package and four-wheel-drive with an asking price of $16,000. The Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool confirms the ask falls between this guide’s #3 “Good” estimate of $13,300 and its #2 “Excellent” appraisal of $19,000.
