Classifind Cut: 1970 Chevrolet Kingswood -NOW $16,500
December 23, 2020 Update – We will never understand the rationale of a seller first listing their car at one price, and when it doesn’t sell they actually increase the price. In this situation, the private seller continues to increase the price under the somewhat misguided notion that each completed repair incrementally increases the value of their car. Now increased by $1,500 to a revised $16,500, we have a feeling we will be tracking this wagon for a while.
Nomad, Yeoman, Townsman, and Kingswood. Those are just a few of the brand names Chevrolet retired then subsequently dusted off years later to brand a new model. The Kingswood name returned for the 1969 model year, based on the Impala, and was available only with a V8. Chevrolet slotted it above the Chevrolet Townsman. Produced between 1969 and 1972 the Kingswood was available in both two- and three-seat models.
A nicely optioned 1969 nine-passenger Kingswood can currently be found here on Craigslist in Sandy Springs, South Carolina with new tires and a fresh interior for $15,000. The Collector Car Market Review Online Tool confirms the ask is likely a bit too optimistic as it falls between this guide’s #2 “Very Good” estimate of $14,375 and its #1 “Excellent” appraisal of $22,400. That’s big money for a car that appears to have substantial rust beyond what some would call a “light patina.” If you are serious about buying this Kingswood, you can start the conversation by calling the current caretaker at (704) 902-0255. When you connect, please remember to mention you saw their Chevy Impala Kingswood featured here on GuysWithRides.com. Good luck with the purchase!
