Classifind Cut: 2002 Ford Thunderbird – SOLD!

The eleventh and likely last generation of the Ford Thunderbird went back to its roots with a retro-styled, two-seat modern interpretation of the original ’55-’57 Baby Birds.  Produced for only three years between 2002 and 2005, while initial demand was quite high, sales quickly fell off when potential buyers found the trunk to be too small and the Jaguar-designed 3.9 Liter V8 (remember Ford owned this premium brand at the time) not powerful enough.  If you love the original two-seat Baby Birds but don’t want to relive driving a 1950s vintage car, then these modern interpretations such as this red over black example originally listed in December 2020 on Craigslist in Chesterfield, New Jersey make a compelling alternative. Offered with just over 73K original miles and a brand new set of tires, the current caretaker is asking $10,900. The NADA Guides Classic Car Online Valuation Tool confirms the ask falls between this guide’s current #4 “Fair” (Daily Driver) estimate of $9,600 and its #3 “Good” appraisal of $12,500.
