1991 Mazda MX-5 Miata 24K Survivor – Sold?
February 5, 2021 Update – We just confirmed the listing for this “Classifind” expired, so with no replacement found we’re assuming this ride “Sold?” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.
Some Craiglist Classifinds intrigue us not for the car offered for sale, but for the other vintage ride it appears parked next to in a picture. In the latest example, if you’re like us, we want to learn more about the green Jaguar E-Type “barn door” in the background than the 24K mile, one-owner, never-seen-any-kind-of-precipitation, 1991 Mazda Miata. This NA Miata is our latest example of a well-maintained, low-mileage survivor the original owner finally has to part with as they likely age out of being able to drive the car thirty years after originally buying it. We came across this latest example in January 2021 on Craigslist near Warren/Long Hill, New Jersey with an asking price of $15,500. The Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool confirms the ask falls between this guide’s current #2 “Excellent” estimate of $14,700 and its #1 “Concours” appraisal of $23,300.
Here’s the seller’s description:
“Mint 1991 Mazda Miata. 24k miles. One owner, always garage kept. 5 speed. Never has this car been driven in the winter with road salts nor has it seen a drop of rain. This car is immaculate. No test drives until the weather clears up closer to spring. My pictures aren’t great because I cant bring it out with the snow. Zero issues with the vehicle. Email me for any questions.”
